Online Cookery Sessions – Terms & Conditions

  • An adult 18yrs + must be present and responsible for any children under the age of 18 yrs of age participating in our summer cookery sessions and throughout the entirety of each session.

  • Booked and paid sessions are non-refundable/non-transferable.

  • It is BNF and Depatment of Education published best practice that children 8 years are older should be able to learn to use sharp kitchen tools (knife/grater/peeler) and heat equipment (oven, hob, microwave).  It is your responsibility to ensure you are present to assist, step in or manage these occasions when injury from sharp/heat risks are present.   CookeryEatery Ltd. is in no way responsible for any injury or accident however caused during our online food making time.    This includes in the set-up, live or wrapping-up phase of our sessions.

  • It is expected that your time in our virtual setting will be guided by best practice electronic safety in mind.

  • You are not authorized to take a recording of our session that features other children/Cooker Mentors without their expressed written permission to do so. You are not authorized to share any video/photo of our sessions on social media featuring other children/ Cookery Mentors without their expressed written permission to do so.

  • The zoom call details shared to you directly are only for use by our family and not to be shared beyond our group.

  • Each session is planned to last for 2 hours.  This may vary by 15 mins under or over.

  • Bookings are per family and not per child. All bookings are per week and not per day. No part week/daily bookings are available.

  • Preferred payment is online at the time of booking or BACS

  • Credit notes issued to existing camp/club customers by CookeryEatery Ltd in March 2020 are accepted as payment. Top up to credit notes can be made via Stripe or BACS payments.

  • It is the responsibility of each family to make arrangement for the use of their preferred device for our sessions. CookeryEatery Ltd. is not responsible in the event of no internet coverage or for any reason however caused that transmission of the session was not realized remotely.

  • It is the responsibility for families to provide their own ingredients and equipment specified in the recipe set provided by CookeryEatery.

  • It is the responsibility of each supervising adult to ensure that adequate first aid provision is available to them in the case of injury.  We recommend keeping a first aid kit close to hand in the kitchen.

  • It is the responsibility of each supervising adult that the child in their care does not consumer/touch/inhale or come into contact with a substance that could pose a risk of allergy, intolerance or sensitivity to them or yourself.  The adult must therefore ensure food exclusions are managed by you in the home.

  • Ingredients and equipment should be laid out and ready in anticipation of our sessions in order to keep on track with timings.  If this is not done, we will not be able to delay for this to do done and therefore you will need to make up the time independently in your home.

  • We reserve the right to delay/cut short the session start or end in the event of an unforeseen circumstance(s) beyond our control.  As much notice of this will be given as possible to avoid disruption.

  • We reserve the right to remove any member of the group that unable to behave in a kind, considerate and positive way during our sessions or who are causing unnecessary disruption, delays or upset to any other member(s) in the group. This is at the sole discretion of the Cookery Mentor in charge. A refund will not be available.

  • A minimum of 1 Cookery Mentor from CookeryEatery will lead each session.  Cookery Mentors could vary by day/ week at our sole discretion.

  • A minimum of 10 bookings required to proceed.
